Our next group of teacher training students start their Formal 200-hour
teacher training September 12–14, 2008. The purpose of this 200-hour
12-weekend training is to help the next generation of Iyengar yoga
teachers develop teaching skills, start teaching, and eventually
become fully certified as Iyengar yoga teachers, for which a national
exam is required. Graduates are expected to earn a Yoga Alliance
approved 200 Hour Teacher Training cerificate (Application currently
pending). The curriculum is based upon the first 2 syllabi of the 2007
Iyengar Yoga Certification manual preparing students for certification
examination in Iyengar Yoga and on the requirements of registered yoga
schools developed by Yoga Alliance. Application available on our website.
There is no charge to apply but space is limited. See website for brochure
and further information. This teacher training is also beneficial for
those currently teaching who want to hone their teaching and practice
skills and increase their knowledge of Iyengar yoga. Serious yoga students
who want to learn more of the highly influential BKS method of Iyengar
Yoga are also welcome to apply.
Fee: $2,700, or with payment plan $3,200 total. Space is limited and
students are admitted on a rolling admissions basis. See our website for
more information at www.yogaseattle.com.
Option A: payment of the $2,200 tuition balance (after payment
of $500 deposit); or
Option B: upon payment of a $500 deposit, a signed letter authorizing 13 monthly
payments to a valid Visa or Mastercard account of $200 each and concluding with
a 14th payment of $100.
