Work Study

From time to time, the Center for Yoga of Seattle offers various work-for-study opportunities for students interested in learning Iyengar Yoga. Work-for-Study students take classes at the Center for a much reduced rate, with work hours supplying most of the yoga tuition. Work-for-study provides a way for students not currently taking classes at the Center to attend classes for a reduced rate, or for those currently attending classes at the Center to add an extra class or two a week at a reduced rate.

The best example of an appropriate Work-for-Study candidate (but not necessarily the only example) is someone who has taken classes at the Center and has a strong desire to learn Iyengar Yoga.

Some of the available jobs, such as cleaning the studio, take place weekly at regular times. Others take place as needed.

Interested students must complete a brief application available through the Center Office (206-526-9642). Application includes applicable skills and employment experience, including three professional references and three personal references (not relatives).

Please be sensitive to the fact that we often cannot offer work exchanges to all who may be interested.
